Future Educators Commit to Pursue Career in Teaching

Students from all five high schools currently enrolled in the Teaching as Profession pathway, recently participated in a signing ceremony signifying their commitment to pursue a career in teaching after graduation. Additionally, one student from each high school was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Georgia’s Own Federal Credit Union. The scholarship award winners will attend the annual Columbia County School District Rookie of the Year celebration event, where they will have the opportunity to network and learn from new teachers.

School Climate and Financial Efficiency Star Ratings

Both the School Climate Star Rating and the Financial Efficiency Star Ratings were recently released by the Georgia Department of Education and the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement. All schools in the Columbia County School District earned a four or five star School Climate Rating, and the district’s Financial Efficiency Star Rating was 4.5 out of 5 stars for the 2023-2024 school year.

25-26 New Student Registration

Registration opens April 21, 2025, only for students new the Columbia County School District for the 2025-2026 school year. Existing student registration will open June 16, 2025. Click here for more information.
